Aniket Banerjee and Debojit Sur from Team Kolkata bus-o-pedia visited the CSTC Workshop Belgharia on the 7th of October 2021, to discuss some future projects of team Kolkata bus-o-pedia. We would like to sincerely thank Mr. Samiran Dey, former Dy. Chief Mechanical Engineer, WBTC for lending us his precious time.
Moreover, our exclusive coverage on the newly launched CNG buses by WBTC is coming soon.

We met the respected DM of WBTC Salt Lake Depot, Mr. Bhaskar Sarkar on the 8th of October 2021, to discuss various issues related to several bus routes operated by the Salt Lake Depot, WBTC(CSTC)
We offered him every kind of assistance in ensuring the smooth operation of government buses in Kolkata. We would also like to thank him for granting us permission for making an exclusive coverage of the newly launched CNG buses by WBTC.
We feel that is the duty of every single resident of Kolkata to support the government in maintaining the bus service of our beloved city. Together we can ensure a high frequency and uninterrupted service.

The transport connection between South Howrah and North/Central Howrah is extremely poor. There used to be a bus route number 58 from Chatterjeehat to Esplanade via Belepole, Santragachi More, Natun Rasta, Netaji Subhash Road, Mullick Phatak, Howrah Maidan, Howrah Station, Brabourne Road, BBD Bagh.
The route was abruptly discontinued in the year 2013-14 and since then the transport system in this region of Howrah district has been very poor.
Minibus 7 Amtala Op to Shyambazar and Minibus 26 Baksara to Esplanade maintain a very low frequency, owing to several conditions, and it is high time to restore this lost bus route. Toto fares post lockdown have been extremely high, and they charge something close to ₹40-50 if a person wishes to travel from Chatterjeehat to Kadamtala or Mullick Phatak. Often it's a break journey.
We talked to a quite a considerable amount of people from the locality and a bus route is the need of the hour.
Today, Team Kolkata Bus-o-pedia submitted its deputation to the Howrah RTO, and a copy to
1) Chatterjeehat Police Station,
2) Howrah route number 52 and 58 Bus Malik Samity.
The meeting has been a hopeful one, and maybe someday 58 may start operating. Please do not let the bus routes shut down. Once off the road, such routes are lost forever.

উত্তর এবং দক্ষিণ হাওড়া এর মধ্যে পরিবহণ ব্যবস্থা চিরকাল খারাপ। একটি বাস রুট ছিল, ৫৮ নং বলে, যেটা চ্যাটার্জীহাট হইতে ধর্মতলা অব্দি যেত।
কিন্তু নানবিধ কারণের জন্য বাস টি আজ গত ৭ বছর ধরে বন্ধ। এদিকে আমতলা ওপি মিনিবাস এবং বাকসাড়া মিনিবাস ও ডুমুরের ফুল। ঘণ্টার পর ঘন্টা দাঁড়িয়ে একটাও বাসের দেখা মেলে না। সামান্য চ্যাটার্জীহাট থেকে কদমতলা অথবা মল্লিক ফটক যেতে গেলে টোটো ভাড়া লেগে যায় ৪০-৫০ টাকা কম করে।
আমরা তাই বেশ কিছু দিন ধরে লোকালয় এর মানুষের সঙ্গে কথা বলে একটি জনমত স্থাপন করি, এবং তাদের সমস্ত সমস্যার কথা মাথায় রেখে আজকে হাওড়া RTO তে আমাদের প্রস্তাব জমা দি। সঙ্গে একটি করে কপি জমা করা হয় চ্যাটার্জীহাট থানায় এবং হাওড়া রুট নং ৫২ এবং ৫৮ বাস মালিক সমিতির কাছে।
আলোচনা বেশ আশানুরূপ ছিল। বাকি টা সময়ের অপেক্ষা।
৫৮ নং বাস ফেরত আসুক এই চাই। একটি রুট বন্ধ হয়ে গেলে সেটি ফিরে আসা খুব মুশকিল এর ব্যাপার হয়। তাই এই লড়াই তে আপনাদের সকলকে পাশে চাই।

Deputation submitted to Howrah RTO by team Kolkata Bus-o-pedia for the extension of route no 72 upto Belepole due to public demand. We then submitted a copy of this letter to 72 bus syndicate. They assured us that they'll give it a thought for sure.
জনগণের চাহিদার কারণে বেলেপোল পর্যন্ত ৭২ নম্বর বাস রুটের সম্প্রসারণের জন্য কলকাতা বাস-ও-পেডিয়ার পক্ষ থেকে হাওড়া RTO তে ডেপুটেশন জমা দেওয়া হয়েছে।
পরে আমরা ৭২ নং বাস সিন্ডিকেটের সঙ্গে দেখা করে সেই চিঠির একটি কপি দিয়ে আসা হয় আমাদের তরফ থেকে। ওনারা জানান যে এই বিষয় তাঁরা নিশ্চই ভেবে দেখবেন।

Our initiative to restore the services of Bus Route number 3 is still intact. We would like to share with you, that we've shared our concern with the DM Office, Hooghly, RTO Hooghly, and District Collectorate, Hooghly. We've submitted a deputation regarding the restoration of the bus route, and we've highlighted the importance of route 3 to the people of Hooghly district, Howrah district and Kolkata district.
If things go well, maybe we can see route number 3 buses back on the road pretty soon. Thanks to the fans of this page for staying by our side. Wish us good luck. Attaching a copy of the deputation.

A delegation from Team Kolkata Bus-o-pedia submitted an appeal to e RTA, P.V.D, Transport Department (Beltala), Kolkata to look into the resumption of minibus route number S138: Jadavpur to Airport. We had conducted a detailed survey and the demand for the route is immense.
Our Joint Treasurer, Mr. Arnab Roy and our moderator Mr. Arindam Sarkar took part in this venture.
